CLIFF DEVRIES is a two time Diving All-American with twelve years diving coaching experience. As a diver Cliff was a two-time Section V Champion and Empire State Games Champion. He attended the University of Kentucky where he dove at the Division I Level. He began his coaching career at Monroe Community College, serving as the founder of the Mavericks Dive Club. As the coach for the Mavericks, he had Empire State Games Champions, Regional qualifiers and Senior Zone Competitors. Several Maverick divers received full scholarships at Division I institutions. Cliff also works as the Head Diving Coach for the Rochester Institute of Technology Collegiate Team. At RIT he has had eight Conference Champions and has been named The Upper New York State Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in 2000, 2002, 2007 and 2008. He is currently the District Chair for Niagara District Diving. A former gymnast, Cliff uses his mechanical expertise to train divers to complete the most complex dives in the sport. Cliff loves to work with all age groups and ability levels. He holds a degree in Business Administration, Accounting from RIT and passed the CPA Exam in 2003. Cliff is a cancer survivor is active in his recovery and rehabilitation efforts.

DUANE GREEN is the Assistant Director at Upstate Diving. Duane works closely with Cliff to develop the program structure and coaching methodology used at Upstate. Duane comes to Upstate with over 30 years coaching experience. Duane has a long and prestigious re'sume'. He was formerly the Head Swimming and Diving Coach at West Islip High School in long Island. Duane is a professional instructor for Lifeguarding, Water Safety Instruction, CPR, and AED. Duane dove Division I at Michigan State and continues to dive competitively. While at Michigan State he was a three time NCAA All-American. He has won gold at the Empire State Games for over 12 years, won the National Masters championships in 2005 and also in 2005 he came in fourth at the World Masters Championships in Edmonton, Canada. Duane also comes from from a strong gymnastics background, coaching gymnastics for over a decade at West Islip. Duane always has innovative ideas and is always looking to make Upstate Diving the best place to dive in the country.

GREG BRANDES is the Senior Team Coordinator
for Upstate NY Diving. Greg has 7 years diving coaching
experience. Greg is currently the Head Diving Coach for the University of Rochester, and has already had a provisional NCAA qualifier as well building the strongest diving team in the Liberty League. Greg is graduate of Western Virginia with an M. S. Degree in Athletic Coaching. Greg also dove Division I at WVU. As a coach for WVU Greg has had 3 Zone National Qualifiers. Greg has coached all levels of divers from club to high school to college and has had success wherever he has been.
